Behind the Sounds

I’m usually a person that listens to podcasts about almost anything. Though this Radio Broadcast really got to me about how they made the sounds so realistic and almost believable. This assignment did help me learn a few things like the difference between writing a scenario and telling a story through audio. It made me realize that a story can be told like the way it is, but when something like a broadcast does some audio of that story, they make it seem so real, not just with actors, but with the sound around the background of the speaker, making it feel like people are actually in the room.

Another thing I learned from this assignment was that the production of a story takes as much time as writing it. When it comes to me being a writer, it will usually take me a long time just to come up with the story idea. I would think that after getting the idea, the process of making it real would be easier. Though getting the right audio for telling the story takes just as long or longer to produce it. Sometimes a story needs to get some changes to help make the story better. I should know, when I’m writing, I just think what I wrote was good, but I need to say it out loud to realize I need to make some changes to it, so it makes sense and doesn’t ruin the idea.
